Rune Factory 4 Main story

As in Rune Factory 2 and Rune Factory Tides of Destiny, you the player have a choice to play as a Boy or Girl.

Once you have chosen which you want to play as the game opens up to an air ship. Where you are jumped by two stowaways. You get the chance to fight them before getting hit on the head from behind which in turn causes you to fall from the airship. You land on a dragon's head and this of course keeps you from what would have possibly been a fatal fall. When you awake you find you have amnesia. So Ventuswill, the dragon you landed on decides you were the prince/princess that was supposed to come. Now you have the duties of royalty to contend with. There is a Prince/Princes royalty point system. this will help you develop the town.


After meeting the villagers and learning the layout of Selphia. You now get to go to the dungeons one at a time. There are many diverse activities, Governing as prince/princess, interacting with the towns people, tilling the fields, or fighting monsters.

The way to romance the Marriage Candidates has changed slightly instead of being friends and going directly to marriage you now have a dating period in between.
You don't get to meet all of the candidates at once however...but you get a surprise when you defeat your first dungeon boss. The monster instead of returning to the forest of beginnings, turns into....A PERSON!  This person now joins Selphia as a new member of the town. There are two male candidates who were monsters...and two female.

Journey through the game, and find your way to making the town a popular tourist attraction!
